Tour Operators
Travelife is an international sustainability certification programme for hotels and accommodations. We work in partnership with tour operators, travel agents and accommodation providers to help protect destinations for the future and increase the positive impacts of the holidays they offer.
This includes supporting local businesses, buying local goods where possible, and protecting the environment and the well-being of people, including their staff, customers and suppliers. By working in partnership with accommodations, tour operators and travel agents around the world, together we are starting to change the way tourism businesses operate and make a significant contribution to sustainable tourism.
Travelife is proud to work together with a wide number of tour operators who are committed to improving the sustainability performance of the hotels they work with. This is helping to create - and you to easily find - more sustainable accommodation options.
The list below shows Travelife partner tour operators that are committed to providing holidays with more sustainable hotels, increasing your choice of accommodations that protect and respect their local environment, the people who work for them and the local communities where they operate.

Aurinkomatkat is Finland’s biggest and most trusted tour operator. Aurinkomatkat was established in 1963 and is part of Finnair Group. As Finland’s most sustainable tour operator, we want to ensure that future generations can enjoy the diversity of the world, travel and create meaningful encounters.
Aurinkomatkat flies to destinations via Finnair's direct flights from Helsinki. Finnair is constantly investing in a modern, low-emission aircraft fleet and is committed to the aviation industry's common goals of achieving carbon-neutral growth by 2020. In addition to the modern aircraft fleet, Finnair reduces the flight emissions by optimizing the weight of the aircraft and by fuel-efficient flight methods.
Tourism is an important or even sole source of livelihood for many of our destinations, and it has always been extremely valuable to us to establish long-term local partnerships to ensure the well-being of the whole community. We want to support local entrepreneurs and communities in our destinations, and we have worked with many of our destinations' local hotels and tour operators for decades.
Hotels have many ways to take environmental concerns into account, and there are an increasing number of environmentally certified hotels in our selections. These hotels pay attention for example to water and electricity consumption, food waste, recycling and waste sorting, or reducing plastic waste, and make these actions visible for the customers. We want to support our hotel partners in their environmental work.
Together with our partners, employees, travel industry and other stakeholders we can build a sustainable future and ensure that future generations can explore the world and its wonders.
